Joseph Humann has over twenty-five years of professional experience in the architectural conservation and historic preservation industry.

Starting his career at New York City’s top architecture and engineering firm, RAND Engineering & Architecture, he conducted façade inspections, building condition assessments, leak investigation, roof replacement, expert witness, window replacement design, and construction administration.

He advanced into project management with restoration and preservation contracting firms. In 2018, he managed the preservation of an 1874 cast iron façade building, which won New York Landmarks Conservancy's highest honor, the Lucy G. Moses Preservation Award.

Since 2010, Joseph has been an Adjunct Professor at New York City College of Technology (CUNY City Tech), where he teaches courses in Details and Construction Technology of Existing Buildings and the History of New York City Architecture.
